We’ve got to keep this inquiry moving.

Indivisibles,

The dam has finally broken. Thanks to the steadfast work of activists like you over the last two years, Speaker Pelosi heard our demands and has listened to leading voices in Congress -- mostly members of color -- who publicly supported impeachment long before it was politically expedient to do so. But now, most members of Congress are back in their home districts for a pre-planned recess, despite the dire national security implications that make this inquiry so urgent.

The good news? Indivisibles know what to do in moments like this: hold their feet to the fire. We saw how it worked during impeachment August, and it will work again now to ensure they move quickly to vote on articles of impeachment for Trump's full range of misdeeds. We’ve got to make sure the elected officials who represent us work to move this inquiry forward; and that means we can’t let this recess go off quietly.

Here are the details about impeachment recess event(s) near you -- can we count on you to join and help make sure we keep the pressure on?

What: Impeach Trump Then Vote! Rally
When: Saturday, October 19th, 12:00 p.m.
Where: Arlington Courthouse Plaza, Arlington, VA
You can RSVP Here.

What: Rally to Impeach
When: Sunday, October 13th, 1:00 p.m.
Where: DuPont Circle, Washington, DC
You can RSVP Here.

When we come together to raise our voices, we can make a real and tangible impact. But make no mistake: Trump and his allies will use this recess to do everything in their power to squash this inquiry. We’ve worked so hard to get to this moment and we can’t let up now; the time is now for us to come together and show our collective power.

There are folks who want to make this issue partisan -- but this is not a partisan issue. This is about the integrity of our democracy. It’s on Congress to hold Trump accountable for the full range of his misdeeds, many of which are impeachable offenses. And it’s on us to make sure our members of Congress know we’re waiting on them to do their jobs. If you care about the future of our democratic processes as a country, it’s critical to show up in this fight.

See you there.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

P.S. Can’t make it to an event? Your voice is still needed -- register to host an event here, and check out our impeachment recess event host toolkit for everything you need to know about hosting a successful event. Even if a member of Congress is already supportive, it’s still really important to show up, thank them, and let them know we’ve got their back -- and also ensure they know the importance of moving this inquiry forward, not just passively supporting it.
