Democrat,
Governor Murphy and Democrats in the state legislature once again proved their commitment to expanding access to the ballot this week, with the Governor signing a bill to offer Early Voting here in New Jersey for the first time. This is a tremendous advance that will allow more people to exercise their sacred right to vote, especially those with jobs or family responsibilities that make voting on a Tuesday difficult.
For a detailed look at how the new Early Voting system will work check out this article on our website breaking it all down.
With vaccine eligibility continuing to open up in our state more and more residents are getting their shots -- as of today over 4.2 million doses have been administered, and New Jersey ranks third in the nation in percentage of doses given at 88.4%. Governor Murphy and his team are still working hard to improve the vaccine rollout, and the latest announcement is a new tool to help residents find open appointment slots near them: The NJ Vaccine Finder.
For up to date information regarding new cases and directives regarding coronavirus, or information on vaccine registration and signup, visit the state’s dedicated COVID-19 Information Hub or follow Governor Murphy’s official pages on social media. You can also reach the state’s Vaccine Call Center at 1-855-568-0545.

Coming on the heels of the successful passage of the Recovery Act, the Biden administration is now working on another transformative initiative that will help our country come back from the pandemic stronger than ever. The American Jobs Plan would invest $2 Trillion into our country’s infrastructure, creating jobs and boosting the economic recovery while making much-needed improvements to our roads, bridges, water systems, airports, schools and much more. You can read more about the plan here, which also includes funding for the Gateway Project to build new train tunnels under the Hudson River, a priority we have been working towards for many years.
Thank you,
Chairman John Currie
P.S. -- We need your help to get Governor Murphy on the ballot! Due to the pandemic, petitions for the primary election can now be collected online and you can show your support for our Governor by signing his petition here.
