New York Times: Georgia’s Voter Law Is Called ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ for a Reason

Stacey Abrams and voting activists organized their communities, flipping Georgia from red to blue, solidifying President Biden’s win, and establishing a Democratic stronghold in the U.S. Senate. But in the face of Democratic progress, Republicans in Georgia have passed legislation to SILENCE voters’ voices.

We need to fight back.

Please, Team, sign the petition to stand with Stacey > > >

Team – Georgia Republicans are up to no good. In response to Democratic wins and Stacey Abrams' prospective run for governor, Brian Kemp has signed a sweeping and discriminatory voting rights bill into law, making it harder for Black and brown communities to cast their votes.

Democrats relied on vote-by-mail and early voting to fuel historic turnout numbers in Georgia. And Joe Biden flipped the state by earning just 12,670 more votes. Now, Republicans are trying to do away with all of that in a direct attack on the freedom to vote leading up to the 2022 election.

Make no mistake Team: the GOP wants to erase democratic wins, take back Senator Warnock’s seat, and stop Stacey Abrams from becoming governor in 2022.

We have to fight back. We urgently need 25,000 Democrats to stand with Stacey and condemn the GOP attacks on voting rights. With just a few hours left before our 11:59 p.m. deadline, your signature is still missing, Team. So please, add your name immediately:
