Retailer Report Card: Learn About Toxics on the Store Shelves
Our friends at Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families released their 5th annual Mind the Store campaign’s Retailer Report Card this week. It grades major retailers on their actions to address toxic chemicals in products and packaging. We are pleased to report that two national chains – Target and Rite Aid – have both pledged to address toxic chemicals in beauty products marketed to women of color. Read the Report

Eggsellent News!
New York Attorney General Letitia James delivered 1.2 million eggs to feed New Yorkers suffering from food insecurity. The free eggs came as part of a settlement with Hillandale Farms, one of the nation’s largest egg producers, which had been accused of price gouging during the pandemic. The eggs will be given to food banks located throughout the state, and then be distributed to thousands of food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters serving New Yorkers in need. Thank you to Tish James and everyone involved! Learn More
