With the holidays of Passover and Easter upon us, many have begun to celebrate with small groups of family and friends. As we come together for the first time in over a year to share holidays with loved ones, we're reminded of how important food and feeding people is to the celebration of each holiday, and to all secular family traditions.
Yet, so many of our neighbors remain burdened by the impact of this devastating year. From losing family members to losing jobs and sources of income, countless communities have been affected. And although help is on the way from the recent relief bill, the most vulnerable will continue to struggle for years to come. The 54 million Americans who have faced hunger over the last year will continue to be affected by the pandemic's economic impact, and we must continue to be there for them.
As we take the time to celebrate this week, will you donate to help us continue our work to make sure every child, every parent, every senior citizen in this country receives the resources they need to be well-fed this spring and throughout the year?
Wishing you a restful and peaceful spring, however you may celebrate.
