I'm writing you to report on the status of our ground game here in Louisiana, where I'm working with our hardworking volunteers to turn out as many voters as we can for Gov. Edwards before early voting ends this Saturday!

Early voting only lasts for seven days here in Louisiana – just seven days! That's not a lot of time to mobilize thousands of voters before early voting closes on Oct. 5. A strong ground game is the best chance we have to get our supporters to the polls to vote early, but we need resources to sustain our field operation.

Thankfully, our team let me know some donors are matching every gift made to help us hit our $15,000 goal to turn out early voters. Take it from me – it requires a lot of resources to run an effective ground operation. And what happens on the ground wins elections, plain and simple. Whatever you give now will have twice the impact of turning out voters and helping Gov. Edwards win reelection, so can we count on your support?
