[1]Women's March
Hey John!
You're one of Women's March's most active volunteers, so we wanted to be
sure you didn't miss out on a huge effort we're proud to be a part of:
Recovery Recess.
So, what is a recess anyway? The upcoming recess for Congress is a time
when members and senators return to their districts to hear directly from
the people they represent. As we heard on our amazing webinar on Tuesday
night, we want to harness this critical time to make women's voices heard
about passing meaningful legislation to recover from this crisis — urgent
priorities like a $15 minimum wage, universal childcare, and national paid
leave for all.
That's where Women's Marchers like you come in,
John. We need as many people as possible to show
up to Congressional offices across the country during this upcoming
Recovery Recess. Here are two ways you can get involved:
1. Host a Special Delivery action on April 7—9.
We want you to host your own Special Delivery action at one of your local
members of Congress' offices. The goal of this specially-designed Women's
March action is to say loud and clear to our members of Congress that we
need them to take the need for real recovery as seriously as Women's March
does. How will we send our message? Together, Women's Marchers will
deliver bouquets with a very important message: "Roses are red. Violets
are blue. Fight hard for real recovery, or we will primary you!" The rest
of the event is up to you! [ [link removed] ]Sign up to host your own WM Special Delivery

2. Attend a Recovery Recess event near you.
Not up to hosting your own event just yet, but still want to attend? No
problem! There are Recovery Recess events happening in cities across the
country. Take a look at this map of events, and sign up to attend the one
closest to you — and don't forget to bring a friend! [ [link removed] ]Sign up to attend

This upcoming Recovery Recess is a shared megaphone. Together with our
partners like Working Families Party, MoveOn.org, and Showing Up For
Racial Justice, we at Women's March are saying loud and clear to our
elected leaders: No excuses. No complacency. We want full recovery and we
need transformational solutions.
Thank you for taking action and showing up.
