This is urgent, John — we're still falling short of our critical match goal and you can help us reach $100,000 toward our effort to ban assault weapons. That's why the Board of Directors has EXTENDED their match offer and we're counting on you to take advantage of one more chance to DOUBLE your impact and help us get over the finish line.

If we're going to finally ban assault weapons from our streets, we're going to need you on this team.

Right now, our board of directors is MATCHING every donation up to our $100,000 emergency rapid-response goal to defeat the NRA, pass an assault weapons ban, and save lives from gun violence!

Will you rush a contribution of $5 or more right now — $5 becomes $10 — so we have the resources we need to overcome the NRA's lethal inaction and pass a life-saving assault weapons ban?

For us at Brady, this fight is personal. Brady has been led by gun violence survivors since day one: After Jim Brady was shot in the assassination attempt on President Reagan 40 years ago this week, Jim and his wife Sarah dedicated their lives to preventing gun violence.

Jim and Sarah fought for seven years to pass the Brady Background Checks bill — and won. And they kept on fighting for decades afterward. But their progress was stonewalled again and again and again.

By — you guessed it — the NRA.

But right now is our chance to end the NRA's reign of terror once and for all. With President Biden in the White House calling for an assault weapons ban and gun safety champions back in the majority in Congress, we can finally pass the bold gun safety agenda that survivors have been demanding for decades.

But make no mistake, John: We won't be able to pass a single piece of life-saving legislation without grassroots support from committed gun safety activists like you. If you want to defeat the NRA's deadly agenda once and for all and save lives from gun violence, we urgently need you to give now:

Rush $5 or more right now — every dollar goes twice as far — to help Brady defeat the NRA, ban assault weapons, and save lives from gun violence.

Jim and Sarah Brady dedicated their lives to defeating the NRA and preventing gun violence. We hope you'll honor their legacy today by helping us reach this critical goal.
