A broad and growing membership means more clout at city hall. It means a bigger impact, a bigger voice, a seat at the table. It means holding not only SFMTA accountable to bold transit improvements, but also our elected officials to make sure Muni is funded so that service can be accessible, equitable, and affordable. It means standing up for the resources we need for frequent transit we can count on.

We face enormous challenges in the coming days, months, and years in the fight for better service as we recover from the pandemic. There are also great opportunities for increased funding and for reforming the rules that make it so expensive and take so long to get the transit we need.

30x30 After COVID

The pandemic laid bare the inequities in many of our systems and much of our infrastructure - public transit is no exception. Lessons learned during the pandemic show the ideas behind our 30x30 campaign are as relevant as ever - we need transit to have priority on the street to deliver fast, frequent, reliable service; we need to build a system that enables efficient cross-town trips and connections between neighborhoods. If you want to help build our 30x30 network, apply by April 6 to our 30x30 Workgroup! What trips are too difficult? What communities need to be better connected? What routes can we make Rapid and have the same success that we've seen on routes like the 5R Fulton, the 14R Mission, the 38R Geary?

We're looking for a diversity of views for our Workgroup; for people from all over the city and with different public transit needs. Please forward this application to anyone you think would be interested!
