I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when I was told Brand New Congress had added me to their 2019-2020 slate of supported candidates. Brand New Congress chooses trailblazers to fill Congress with people who truly represent America’s population. Here’s what I want to do in office:
We need to Get Big Money Out Of Politics! We need to end Citizens United and also introduce a Federal Tax Credit which can be used to donate to federal campaigns rejecting Corporate and Super PAC money.
Nobody has prioritized accessibility the way it deserves; we need to expand the Americans with Disabilities Act so that the enforcement is no longer the burden of those with disabilities. The ADA needs to be enforced by the federal government.
AOC needs a little (lot of) help getting Congress to pay attention to the urgency of the Climate Emergency. I want to join her and amplify the urgency of ending subsidies to factory farms, the fossil fuel industry, and banning single use plastics.
While my incumbent is prepared to compromise on Medicare For All, I will specifically advocate for Single-Payer Medicare For All with immediate forgiveness of all medical debt. Nobody should be in debt for life because they wanted to LIVE. Let’s remove the for-profit nature of our healthcare system.
I’m ready to fight for the 100%. I’m ready to unseat an incumbent who has the support of corporate PACs. Most importantly, I want to fight to prioritize The People over profit.
