With your support, we met the mark on our first FEC fundraising goal of 2021 -- I’m so grateful. As an important reminder, it’s your donations toward these fundraising deadlines that enable me to stay focused on the crucial work that we are tackling in Washington.

Last night was a sobering and tragic reminder that our work in Congress is not yet finished and more urgent than ever. Orange County experienced its worst mass shooting in years. Four were killed, including a child.

Chrissy and I are heartbroken and thinking of all those impacted. In the face of these gruesome attacks that have plagued American cities in recent weeks, we have an obligation to demand action on gun violence.

This year, the House passed yet another historic gun reform measure to establish universal background checks. These bills will save lives, and it’s my pledge to continue pressing my colleagues in the Senate to pass legislation to put an end to this violence.

We need to get this done -- for our country and for future generations.
