Happy Holy Week

With tomorrow being Good Friday, I wanted to send out this week's Party Line a day early. This has been a momentous week, capping off a momentous month for the State of Indiana. On Wednesday, all Hoosiers 16 and over became eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine. From the beginning, Indiana’s vaccine rollout has been one of the—if not the—best in the nation. Governor Holcomb and his team correctly prioritized at-risk populations first and have over 500 vaccination sites open throughout the state. Now that all Hoosiers 16+ are eligible and statewide mask and venue capacity mandates are expiring, I’m excited for what the rest of spring and summer will bring for Indiana.

On Monday, I was in Evansville to manage the caucus to fill Holli Sullivan’s former District 78 House seat. Congratulations to Tim O’Brien on being the newest member of our Republican supermajority in the Indiana House of Representatives. My full statement on Tim’s election is below and I want to thank the entire Republican team in Evansville that executed a safe and healthy caucus this week.

Indiana is demonstrating what competent, conservative leadership can do for a state. When I see what is happening in Washington DC, I know we’re getting just the opposite from the capital. Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the Democrats are drunk with power and are ramming through leftist policies that will raise our taxes, takeover our elections, weaken our borders, and destroy our energy independence. HR 1, the Orwellian titled “For the People Act,” is an effort by the Democrats to hijack state elections. On top of that, there’s a crisis of President Biden’s making at our border and the new administration is already talking about raising taxes… while we’re still in a pandemic. With these policies coming out of Washington just 3 months into Democrat control, it’s as clear as ever that we have to stay united as a Republican Party, do everything we can to win back the House and Senate in 2022, and win back the White House in 2024.

Thanks

Kyle

Expanding Vaccine Eligibility

On Wednesday, Governor Holcomb and the Indiana State Department of Health announced that all Hoosiers 16 years and older are eligible to be vaccinated. That means 5.4 million Indiana residents are now eligible! Governor Holcomb also announced that an eight week mass vaccination clinic will open in Gary ([link removed]) on April 7th. This mass vaccination clinic has the capacity to administer 3,000 COVID-19 vaccines a day. Every time a Hoosier gets vaccinated, we get one step closer to beating COVID-19 in Indiana.
