On most campaigns, there are two measures of grassroots support: volunteers and small-dollar donations.

In a moment, we’re going to share some of our amazing small-dollar fundraising numbers from the first two weeks of our campaign to stop the Republican recall.

But first, we need to ask you to do something BIG and IMPORTANT for our campaign — we need to ask you to sign-up to send text messages from our online platform to California voters asking them if they oppose the Republican recall.

If you’ve done this kind of volunteer work before, that’s great. You know how easy and important it is. If not, we’ll get you set up. It’s really easy. Now, on to the fundraising numbers…

Again, this is in just two weeks alone:

Total Online Donations: 101,806
Average Online Donation: $22.30
Total Raised in 16 Days: $3.1 million

Most Frequent Donor Occupation: Teacher

% Of Donations from Californians: 94%
% Of Donations $100 or less: 99.2%

To put this in perspective, that’s an average of one donation from a Californian for every 15 seconds since we launched our campaign to stop the Republican recall.

Now, California is obviously a large and expensive state, so we can’t stop raising money now. But we also have to talk to voters, and that work is underway. But we need more volunteers to identify people who oppose the Republican recall so we can make sure they vote.

It’s important work, and it takes people showing up. We need you, friends. What do you say?
