Dear John ,

This month marks Autism Acceptance Month, our chance to celebrate our community and what makes us unique [[link removed]] . At ASAN, we’re celebrating in many ways, including launching giveaways, hosting a discussion [[link removed]] on how the neurodiversity movement has changed over the last ten years, and sharing our accessible resources [[link removed]] to help people with disabilities make a difference on the issues that matter most to us. Keep an eye out for the launch of the giveaways and our new resources as they debut this month!

Our community makes all of our projects possible. In the year since last Autism Acceptance Month, we’ve:
- Released accessible toolkits [[link removed]] that ensure all people with disabilities have the tools we need to speak out about policy that affects our lives, including our Easy Read and plain language explainer on the COVID-19 vaccine. [[link removed]]
- Hosted a virtual Autism Campus Inclusion [[link removed]] Leadership Academy welcoming a cohort of autistic college students to learn to be self-advocates on and off their campuses.
- Launched our new Action Center [[link removed]] , which provides resources for anyone who wants to make a difference on disability policy.
- Fought to ensure people with disabilities aren’t left out of the response to the coronavirus pandemic [[link removed]] , including through action alerts that help our community engage in grassroots advocacy on critical issues.

Becoming a member is a great way to support all this work and more, all while getting rewards and membership-exclusive content! Check out our membership program, and let’s keep making change together. [[link removed]]

These monthly membership plans come with special perks [[link removed]] such as a digital membership card or exclusive ASAN merch. Each one is named after a special interest shared by some autistic people, to celebrate autistic culture. Want to learn more about the tiers? Check out our membership page here [[link removed]] .

(If a monthly membership isn’t for you, but you still want to donate to support our work, you can do so here [[link removed]] !)

With your support, we can make autism acceptance happen all year round.

With gratitude,
The Team at ASAN

P.S. - Our scholarship memberships, for self-advocates who can’t pay for membership, aren’t going anywhere! Autistic people and those with other developmental disabilities can get our digital perks for free - contact [email protected] to get signed up.
