Behind the Scenes: Palestine, the ICC, and the Struggle for Justice
Webinar
"Tuesday April 6, 12 PM Eastern "
[ [link removed] ]Dear Friend,
On Tuesday, April 6, at 12 noon ET, please join us for an important webinar on Palestine, the ICC and the struggle for justice.
In February, the International Criminal Court (ICC) made a historic ruling that it has jurisdiction in Palestine. In March, the ICC announced it had opened an investigation of human rights abuses committed during Israel's 2014 assault on Gaza. Meanwhile, the Biden administration so far has upheld a Trump executive order that criminalizes and sanctions ICC investigations against the U.S. and its allies. What does this all mean for Palestinians on the ground, and the solidarity movement in the United States?
We'll be joined by our partner Dr. Raji Sourani from the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) and Katherine Gallagher from the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR). PCHR has played an essential role in documenting human rights abuses in Gaza and in advancing justice for Palestine, in part by bringing forward a case to the ICC.
