It’s Holy Week, a week of mixed emotions as we reflect on the many events that led up to that Resurrection Day long ago. That one day forever changed history and the way we access God and His redemptive plan. This year I’m spending the weekend in Costa Rica at the home of some friends. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Costa Ricans (locally called Ticos) celebrate. I heard there is silence, solemnity and state-wide restrictions from Wednesday through Saturday, followed by processions, music, bells, festivals and food on Sunday. I’m here for it, y’all. I trust you’ll carve out some time, too, in this most amazing of all weeks. Take time to reflect, read the Holy Week account in one of the Gospels, thank God for His outrageous grace, and then celebrate. HE IS RISEN!
