John: This is urgent. Brady just fell short of their $100,00 match goal and we can't afford to miss our opportunity to finally ban assault weapons and expand background checks. That's why the Board of Directors has EXTENDED their match offer in this critical moment. I am counting on you to take advantage of one more chance to DOUBLE your impact and help us reach this critical goal.

It was sickening to hear about the mass shootings in Atlanta and Boulder. I'm a gun violence survivor, and I know firsthand the pain that many families are going through right now. I never, ever want another family to endure the pain that mine did.

Violent shootings like these continue to happen every day because the NRA and their bought-and-paid-for politicians block every single piece of common-sense gun safety legislation they can, full stop. But the tide is turning: With President Biden in the White House and gun safety champions in Congress, we have the best opportunity in decades to stop the scourge of gun violence in our country. The political capital is finally there, and bipartisan solutions sit on the desks of senators – it's simply up to us to show them that the time is now. Everyday Americans are sick of "thoughts and prayers."

Brady is leading the movement for common-sense gun reform — and if you've been waiting for the right moment to pitch in and help, this is it: Brady’s Board of Directors has just offered to MATCH every gift — dollar for dollar — to help Brady reach their $100,000 rapid-response goal!

Every single dollar will go TWICE as far to pass gun violence prevention legislation, including a life-saving ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. So I'm personally asking: Will you donate $5 or more to get your gift MATCHED, ban assault weapons, and save lives from gun violence?

Before I was an NBA championship coach, before I was an NBA champion, I was just a young man working hard to make my dreams come true. But my whole world changed when my father was shot and killed outside his office in a senseless act of violence.

I learned then that no one is truly safe from the epidemic of gun violence. And that means it's on ALL of us to act. Advocacy is a team sport: The only way we can overcome decades of NRA-sponsored inaction is if every single one of us does our part.

John, that's why I'm calling on you to take full advantage of this rare match opportunity before it expires: If you care about banning assault weapons and saving lives from gun violence, rush a donation of $5 or more right now. Every single dollar will be DOUBLED.
