Mega-Businesses Are Already Back to Bankrolling Insurrectionists.

The Daily Beast reports that some of the biggest corporations in the
country are back to bankrolling insurrectionists.

In the weeks following the deadly Jan 6 insurrection at the Capitol, over
80 corporations changed their tune on making PAC donations to the
Republican traitors who voted to overturn the result of our democratic
election.

Thousands of PCCC members pressured corporations on Twitter and with phone
calls to #DrainTheTraitors -- to permanently stop making PAC donations to
the traitors. Let them know the public is still watching.

[ [link removed] ]Visit our #DrainTheTraitors page to call and Tweet corporations -- and
pressure them and others to permanently stop all donations to the traitors
that voted to overturn our democracy.

And, help repair the damage Republicans have done and protect our
democracy in the future. [ [link removed] ]Donate to our lobbying and organizing work to
pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For The People Act --
federal laws that would override state voter suppression tactics and
protect our democracy!

Our #DrainTheTraitors campaign builds on reporting by Judd Legum at
Popular Information. (Subscribe to [ [link removed] ]Popular Information here.)

Legum has specifics on several corporations that sought to support
democracy in the eyes of their employees and customers -- but that are now
finding ways to get money to the traitors anyway.

From Judd Legum:

"Intel said it 'will not contribute to members of Congress who voted
against certification of the Electoral College.' Then Intel donated
$15,000 to the National Republican Campaign Committee, the main
fundraising group for House Republicans. Two thirds of the House GOP voted
against certification."

"AT&T said it would 'suspend contributions to members of Congress who
voted to object to the certification.' Then, AT&T donated $5,000 to the
House Conservatives Fund, the leadership PAC of Rep. Mike Johnson, one of
the objectors.

"Cigna issued a statement saying it would 'discontinue support' of any
member of Congress that 'hindered a peaceful transition of power.' Then,
Cigna donated $15,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, a
committee run by Sen. Rick Scott who voted to overturn the election
results. The NRSC also supports the entire Republican Senate Caucus
including objectors like Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and John Kennedy, who is
up for reelection in 2022."

Pfizer has done the same as Cigna. The Daily Beast reports that an
internal Pfizer email said in January, "We have made the decision that for
the next six months, Pfizer PAC will not contribute to any of the 147
Members of Congress who voted against certifying the Electoral College
results after the violence that we all witnessed."

The report continues, "But it took less than two months for Pfizer to
break that pledge. Their PAC gave $15,000 to the National Republican
Senatorial Committee, led by one of eight GOP Senators who voted to
decertify election results -- Rick Scott of Florida -- on Feb. 23."

Don't allow corporations off the hook. THERE MUST BE ACCOUNTABILITY. Show
them that we are watching.

[ [link removed] ]Click our #DrainTheTraitors page to call these corporations out on
Twitter and on the phone -- and renew pressure on them and others to
permanently stop all PAC donations to the traitors that voted to overturn
our democracy.

And, help save our democracy. [ [link removed] ]Donate to our lobbying and organizing
work to pass federal laws to override state voter suppression tactics and
protect our democracy!

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
