Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility

Hi Friend,

Each April, we observe Alcohol Responsibility Month—a time to highlight the people and organizations who work tirelessly alongside us to eliminate underage drinking, eliminate drunk driving and encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol for those who choose to drink. It’s also a time to reflect on the progress we have made together and the work we have on the horizon. This year we are all still living in a world of constant change and uncertainty. A year ago, we were thrust into a new normal, and now we are anxiously awaiting to re-emerge from our quarantine into yet another “new normal.” Most of us have struggled, too many of us suffered great loss, and all of us stand ready for the next chapter.

Your conversations at home may not have included talking about alcohol to prevent underage drinking.

Your focus may have shifted away from efforts to keep drunk and impaired drivers off the road.

Your dedication to self-care and responsible coping mechanisms may need a reboot.

Alcohol Responsibility Month is the perfect time to make these resolutions with yourself, with your family, and with those around you.

This year’s April has special meaning in that it is not only Alcohol Responsibility Month. It also marks the beginning of Responsibility.org’s 30th Anniversary. In our first three decades, funded by leading distillers and lead by an independent Advisory Board, we worked alongside dedicated advocates like you to start a lifetime of conversations around alcohol responsibility, create best-in-class, science-based educational programs, design cutting-edge communications campaigns and champion effective legislation that made our roads safer, communities stronger and families healthier.

That’s real progress — but we’re not done.

Like the 30 years before, it will take the leadership, commitment and united effort of people who want a better, more responsible future for us all — people like you. Thank you for your continued support of our mission and values. We look forward to Defining the Future of Alcohol Responsibility, Together.

Responsibility.org leads the fight to eliminate drunk driving and underage drinking and promotes responsible decision-making regarding beverage alcohol.
