As the impeachment crisis deepens, one friend the President can still count on is the gun lobby.

According to news reports, on Friday President Trump met with NRA chief executive Wayne LaPierre to discuss the gun lobby's financial support to help Trump in his impeachment fight, and LaPierre asked the President to "stop the games" and abandon any effort to pass common-sense gun safety legislation.

The NRA is waging an all-out effort to stop stronger gun laws and re-elect Donald Trump, and we're fighting back with all we've got.

Your urgent donation will enable Everytown and Moms Demand Action to fight for the gun safety reforms the vast majority of Americans want.

Help us break the NRA's stranglehold on national politics once and for all.

Last week we learned that the NRA has already raised nearly $8 million for the 2020 election. We have a serious fight on our hands, now and through next November. Their plan is to continue to block the will of the people using campaign dollars and ruthless hardball tactics. That's what they've always done. And to stop them, we're building a larger and more powerful grassroots movement than ever before.

John, there's still hope to enact federal gun safety legislation. And we won't let the NRA's opposition stop us now. We're only as strong as the people who support us. That's why I am counting on your help today.

Thank you for all you do to end the epidemic of gun violence in our country.
