Dr. Kesler will discuss American politics, the cultural and constitutional division between conservatives and liberals and the clashing views around America's founding documents, and what the future of American society and politics look like under these contrasting views of the U.S. Constitution.

About Charles R. Kesler, Ph.D.,
Author, Editor and Senior Fellow, Claremont Institute
Dr. Kesler is a professor of government at Claremont McKenna College and the graduate faculty at Claremont Graduate University. He is a senior fellow of the conservative Claremont Institute, and teaches at their Publius Fellows Program, a summer institute. Additionally, he is the editor of the Claremont Review of Books, a quarterly political magazine. He was the director of Henry Salvatori Center at Claremont McKenna College from 1989 to 2008. Kesler graduated from Harvard University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1978, followed by a Ph.D in Government in 1985.

Steven Hayward, Ph.D., writes frequently on a wide range of issues, including environmentalism, law, economics, and public policy, and has published dozens of articles in scholarly and popular journals.
