Hi John,
It has been 15 days since eight people, including six Asian women, were shot and killed in a hate-fueled mass shooting in Atlanta. It has been nine days since 10 people were killed in a mass shooting at a supermarket in Boulder. And still the Senate has not acted.
Once again, we are moving through the painfully familiar cycle of grief, outrage, and inaction. The news cycle may have moved on but we are committed to honoring the victims of these tragedies with action. Can you donate today to honor the 18 victims of Boulder and Atlanta and help ensure we can keep fighting to hold our lawmakers accountable?

We are behind on our fundraising goal for Q1, which ends today. We have to make up the difference by midnight to be able to continue our work pushing for action at the state and federal level. And we can’t afford to let up the pressure now.
This is a unique moment. For the first time in years we have gun responsibility champions in charge of both houses of Congress and the White House, which means we have a window of opportunity to see REAL change happen.
Just this morning, President Biden announced that the American Rescue Plan includes an historic $5 billion in funding for evidence-based community violence prevention programs. That is a huge step toward treating gun violence, especially everyday gun violence, as the public health crisis that it is.
We can’t let this moment go to waste, John. There have been at least 14 more mass shootings since Boulder. And we know countless more lives have been lost in other acts of gun violence since. We deserve better. We deserve more than empty promises.
Please, donate today to help us continue fighting to demand action to stop senseless violence and save lives.
