Today is Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV)

PFLAG National has been proudly trans-inclusive since the 1990s, and that means trans visibility not just on TDOV, but 365 days a year. Today, as we close out Women's History Month, we are among nearly 500 proud signatories on an open letter in support of transgender women and girls, denouncing "the ongoing anti-transgender rhetoric and efforts we witness..." going on across the country. This is not to the exclusion of transgender men and boys, nor our nonbinary loved ones; we love, support, and affirm all who fall under the beautiful transgender umbrella.

Every year, we are proud to support our friends at GLSEN--and LGBTQ+ youth across the country--for the Day of Silence, a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools.
