Dear John,

In a minute I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign before tonight's end-of-quarter deadline, but first I wanted to let you know what my colleagues and I have been working on this month.

First and foremost, we passed The American Rescue Plan -- the largest economic relief package for hard-working Americans in history. This life-saving legislation delivered another round of stimulus checks, extended unemployment benefits and rental assistance, and gave loans to small businesses.

Importantly, the American Rescue Plan also funded accelerated vaccine production and distribution. Now, over 100 million vaccine doses have been administered, and President Biden has announced that all adults will be eligible to receive a vaccine by May. This is a critical step toward ending this deadly virus once and for all.

In addition to passing the American Rescue Plan, I have been working hard to confirm President Biden's historic Cabinet nominees as quickly as possible. This month the Senate finished confirming President Biden's Cabinet Secretaries, including Interior Secretary Deb Haaland to be our nation's first Native Cabinet secretary, Merrick Garland as our nation's Attorney General, and many more qualified nominees.

This Cabinet will be the most diverse in our country's history. That's a fulfillment of President Biden's promise to create a Cabinet that looks like America.

Finally, I wanted to mention some of the legislation that my colleagues and I are currently reviewing: In the Judiciary Committee, we have held hearings on The Equality Act; in my capacity as co-chair of the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus, I've been working on carbon capture legislation; and with a bipartisan group of Senators I've introduced legislation to support and expand civics education.

It's been a busy month, and I'm honored to be working for you and your family, but I need your help to keep fighting. Our campaign's end-of-quarter deadline is at midnight, and we're not on track to hit our goal. Can I count on your support before midnight so I can stay focused on the fights ahead?
