Hi there,

Chuck Schumer: "The poison of racism has always existed in America but over the past four years it seems to have found new life. There is no question that the former president, Donald Trump, through word and deed fanned the flames of racial bias in our country."

That's why, according to The Hill, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has fast-tracked two bills in the Senate to address hate crimes and domestic extremism from white supremacists.

Democrats are hoping to get universal support for the two pieces of legislation that, if passed, would bolster resources to combat hate crimes against Asian Americans and counter the threat of white supremacy.

But let's face it, team: Senate Republicans invited white supremacists into the Capitol on a red carpet and laughed while Trump warned Americans of a "China virus" -- they won't be jumping to support legislation that will hurt their own.

We need to make it clear to Democrats that this is a priority to their constituents, no matter GOP opposition. Please, share your thoughts with us now and help us send a message to Congress:
