Hi,

After its March 11 launch, The Great Global Cleanup® 2021 has taken off. Cleanup registrations from every continent are streaming in at a remarkable pace. And today, we’re urging volunteers across the world to join us.

Will you join us? Search our interactive map for a cleanup near you.

Or, register your own cleanup here.

“Maybe it’s the arrival of spring after a winter of restrictions and maybe it’s people just really wanting to help,” said Jake Rubenstein, The Great Global Cleanup coordinator.

“We were hoping for a big surge of April cleanups, and now with the help of our partners and millions of volunteers, it looks like we’re getting it. But we still need more!”

It’s free and easy. Search our cleanup map for a cleanup near you, or grab your family and friends and register your own.

Now in its third year, The Great Global Cleanup is building on its record as the world’s largest coordinated volunteer event, a way for individuals and organizations to make positive, tangible impacts on our environment. Emerging from the coronavirus pandemic and guided by updated safety protocols, our collective goal in April 2021 is to remove up to a billion pieces of trash from our green spaces, urban communities, and waterways.

Sign up. Show up. Cleanup! Every action counts. Learn more and do YOUR part to address one of our planet’s most serious issues.

“Plastic and other types of pollution challenge every community every day,” said Kathleen Rogers, EARTHDAY‍.ORG President. “They are contaminating our oceans, clogging our drains, causing floods, spreading disease, transmitting respiratory infections and killing wildlife; and low-income communities suffer the worst impacts.”

Where to find litter?

  • Check the street where you live.
  • Look around your neighborhood.
  • Pay special attention to streams, rivers and beaches.
  • Grab trash before it pollutes our land and oceans.

So, register to get your cleanup on the map!

Remember: Wear gloves and masks and practice social distancing to keep yourself and your community safe.

Thank you for doing your part!
