With tonight's FEC end-of-quarter deadline coming up at midnight, we're still $4,721 short of our goal. It's incredibly important that we reach this goal, so I wanted to touch base quickly.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee thinks "Connecticut is in play." It is key to their plan to wrest the Senate back into their control, so they're rallying their dark-money allies to spend whatever it takes to help my Trump-inspired opponent flip this seat. After all, they only have to flip one seat to flip control of the entire Senate.

With so much on the line for our country right now, we cannot afford to hand the keys back to Mitch McConnell. Right now, I'm working around the clock to pass the NO HATE Act to stop the insidious surge in violence against Asian Americans and other minorities. To pass the Build Green Act to fix our crumbling infrastructure. To pass universal background checks to combat our country's gun violence epidemic.

But without Senate control, progress on these issues and so much more won't be possible. That's why reaching this goal is so important. It's our very first FEC deadline of the election cycle, so it's absolutely crucial that we show the GOP and their megadonor machine the strength of our campaign. Falling short just isn't an option.
