Team,

It’s outrageous. Big oil companies are once again trying to build oil pipelines through communities of color, endangering their water supply.

The Associated Press just reported a big oil company, Valero Energy, thinks they can buy out Black America. Their plan: purchase land that’s been in Black families for generations, build 49 miles of pipeline underneath, and make millions.

This isn’t the first time greedy oil companies have tried to displace people of color to line the pockets of their executives. We’re fighting back by electing representatives who will prioritize communities of color in their climate action. FIGHT BACK WITH $6 NOW: [[link removed]]

This could be a repeat of the Dakota Access Pipeline if we’re not careful. Dedicated activists were so close to protecting sacred lands and natural resources. But just weeks into his presidency, Trump had oil flowing through the pipeline.

For decades, oil and gas companies have built plants, pipelines, and factories in Black and brown neighborhoods, towns, and cities. Meanwhile, government leaders have stood idly by while Big Oil and Big Gas took advantage of low-income communities of color and destroyed their access to clean water and clean air.

And it’s happening right NOW as Valero Energy tries to build miles of pipeline through predominantly Black neighborhoods and threatens the clean drinking water for a million people in the area.

We’re building access to green energy to halt the need for dangerous pipelines and the destruction of vulnerable neighborhoods. But we can’t do it without your help, team. Rush$6 to our grassroots 2022 Environmental Justice Fund to elect Democrats who will prioritize green jobs over the interests of Big Oil and Big Gas >>> [[link removed]]
