Over the past year, Canadians have faced extraordinary challenges in extraordinary ways. Across the country, we’ve seen friends, neighbours, and communities come together to care for each other through this global crisis — and it’s exactly that kind of commitment that will help Canadians bridge through to better times.
Our Liberal government is committed to doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to keep people safe, healthy, and supported as we continue to fight COVID-19 — including ensuring that all Canadians have access to safe and effective vaccines. And we are the only party with a real plan to ensure our economy comes roaring back, and to build a Canada that is healthier and safer, cleaner and more competitive, more inclusive, and more fair — for everyone.
Building that better, stronger, and more resilient Canada will take all of us working together, there’s much more hard work ahead of us than behind us.
But with this team, I know we’re up for the task.
As a party, our volunteers and organizers have been stepping up our work across the country to connect with Canadians about their ideas and priorities. That has already included hosting ten different Virtual Weekends of Action, and making more than one million calls to check-in with our communities about our progress to deliver support for Canadians.
Next week, Liberals across the country will also join us for our first-ever virtual Liberal National Convention. And while it’s not how we would usually gather, I’m looking forward to the discussions we’ll have together about shaping our future for the better.
Right now, the team is keenly focused on hitting our biggest online fundraising deadline of the year so far. Hitting this end-of-Q1 goal helps ensure that we can continue to connect with even more Canadians, set goals for the weeks and months ahead, and continue fighting for you each and every day.
