Republican-controlled state legislatures are trying to criminalize people seeking abortion care. They want to punish those exercising their fundamental right to make their own decisions about pregnancy. The barrage of attacks against reproductive freedom in 2021 alone is infuriating:
• Over 100 abortion bans were introduced in state legislatures, including TOTAL abortion bans in 13 states. [1]
• More than 50 measures in 21 states have been introduced that would require biased counseling, a medically unnecessary ultrasound, or a mandatory delay before an abortion. [2]
