Transgender Day of Visibility

In honor of Women's History Month and Transgender Day of
Visibility, GLAAD is sending a message that we stand with transgender
and non-binary people. Will you join us and co-sign our open letter?

Currently, less than half of U.S. states have laws that protect
transgender people from discrimination. And so far this year, state
lawmakers have introduced dozens of state bills that would restrict
the rights of transgender people, especially trans women and girls, in
education, healthcare, and sports. Just this week, the Arkansas Senate
passed a bill banning access to healthcare for trans youth.
At GLAAD, we know that transgender women are women and that
transgender girls are girls. We believe that honoring the diversity of
women's experiences is a strength of society. All of us deserve
the same access, freedoms, and opportunities, and we must respect each
person's right to bodily autonomy and self-determination.
Please add your name and pledge to stand up for transgender women and
girls, as well as all trans and non-binary people. By co-signing our
open letter, you will be joining nearly 500 prominent leaders and
organizations that have signed on, including The Trevor Project,
Time's Up, Me Too, Women's March, Planned Parenthood, and celebrities
such as Gabrielle Union, Halle Berry, Laverne Cox, Miss Peppermint,
and more.
