Governor DeWine Appoints Bishop to Findlay Municipal Court?
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the judicial appointment of Stephanie M. Bishop to the Findlay Municipal Court.
Bishop, of Findlay, will assume office on April 9, 2021, and will be replacing Judge Mark C. Miller, who was elected to a different bench. Bishop will need to run for election in November 2021 for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2023.
Bishop served as Assistant Law Director for the City of Findlay from May 2011 to March 2021. In this role, she managed and prosecuted misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases in the Findlay Municipal Court. Previously, Bishop served as Assistant Law Director for the City of Fostoria.
Bishop has additional experience in the private sector, where she was a partner at Hackenberg, Feighner, Bishop & Werth, LLC from 2009 to 2021, providing legal representation to clients related to domestic relations, collections, guardianships, probate, and transactional matters.
Bishop holds a Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Findlay.
Bishop is an active board member of the Crime Stoppers of Findlay/Hancock County and a member of the Findlay/Hancock County Bar Association. Previously, she was a member of the Arlington School Foundation.
