John,
Here’s the truth: America faces a crisis of leadership.
Our nation has been overrun by career politicians who have forgotten they are meant to serve the people, not reign over them.
We see it on every level. State, local, and federal.
And as a result, we all lose freedom and patriots lose elections.
That's not good for anyone, John, and that's why I'm going to do something about it.
Today, I'm announcing the start of a new organization that will support candidates who can help put an end to this leadership crisis.
Mission First, People Always PAC will support leaders who rise above the challenges we face and embrace our core values, stand for freedom, and have the courage of their convictions.
We know we can't ensure a prosperous, powerful, or peaceful nation without strong leadership.
And I want you on the frontlines with me as we choose who will lead our nation into the future.
But before I ask you to contribute to our mission, I want to share a little more about myself and what inspired me to get involved.
For me - it's about preserving the America I know and love for our future generations.
I had the chance to live the American dream. In four generations, my family went from slaves to sharecroppers to successful business owners because of our relentless hard work and the opportunity and promise offered by the American system.
My family story inspired me to believe in the promise offered by the American Dream, and my father’s military service inspired me to use my skills and blessings to defend it to the best of my ability. My mission began as a cadet at West Point and then I went to Ranger school and flight school and was deployed to Iraq to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In fact, that's where a lot of my inspiration for Mission First, People Always comes from.
I flew more than 750 combat hours in an Apache Attack Helicopter and learned firsthand what it takes to defend the American Dream. I learned that protecting our country and our ideals takes incredible sacrifice and that we can never grow complacent in our mission. And even though my military career was over, I knew I wanted to continue to serve the country and my community in any way that I could. I tried my hand at political office, but I see a new path for preserving the American dream.
I know I can do that by cultivating strong leaders who stand for our principles, have the courage of their convictions, and are capable of inspiring Americans of all backgrounds to accomplish tough missions for the future, while being aware of the struggles that our friends and neighbors face today.

Make no mistake, John, we're going to be picky with who we choose to support.
It's not just about lip service. It's about supporting those - and only those - who are willing to be bold and take action.
I know that if we want to fix America, we need to fix our leadership first.
It starts here, with us supporting conservative candidates who have the strength and discipline to fight whatever comes next.
That's how America wins for centuries to come, John. And that's why I need your help with this mission.
