At the end of every quarter, elected officials like me have to report their fundraising details to the Federal Election Commission and make all of our numbers public.

Everyone from Mitch McConnell to the special interests filling up his rolodex will see how much money we’ve raised and how many folks have pitched in.

That’s why these deadlines are so important. Democrats have to prove we’re still committed to this fight with grassroots donations. But I’ll be honest, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to keep up with our fundraising. Looking at these numbers right now, it’s clear we’re a bit behind on our goal for the quarter.

We’re running out of time to turn things around, which is why I’m asking for your help. Will you make a donation — even $1 makes a difference — to get us back on track to hit our target? It’s really important that we don’t come up short tonight.
