Now we're doing all we can to keep up this inspiring momentum by extending our goal to $750,000 by midnight tonight – because the more vital resources we can secure now, the stronger our Systemic Equality agenda and essential civil liberties priorities will be up ahead. ACLU Supporter, leveling the playing field so that every person can achieve their highest potential is essential to racial justice. Our Systemic Equality Agenda's Increase Access pillar is aimed at addressing that issue head-on – working to ensure everyone has access to the tools necessary to thrive.

But what does "access" look like?

It looks like expanding the reach of broadband internet, which currently does not exist in one-third of Black households, cutting a significant portion of Black people off from employment opportunities, education, health care, and other everyday needs.

It looks like dismantling housing discrimination and segregation because equal access to housing is a civil right.

It looks like eliminating barriers to reentry for returning citizens, who are disproportionately people of color, so that they can obtain jobs, housing, and educational opportunities that give them a chance at a better future.

And it looks like ending the algorithmic bias that appears in the artificial intelligence systems that are reshaping core social domains, from criminal justice and education to healthcare and beyond.

The ACLU is fighting to make all of these principles real through our Systemic Equality agenda – and the giving of supporters like you will make all the difference to our success or failure.

If you've not yet given, please rush in your gift now. Your generosity will ensure that we meet our new $750,000 goal and that our teams have the resources they need in the fight to end inequality.
