To‌morrow is my husband Patrick's birthday.

We always like to spend this time of year -- when long winters are giving way to early spring -- reflecting together on the past year.

Let's just say that last year, in March 2020, we didn't feel much like celebrating.

I'm thankful to say that March 2021 finds us optimistic. Much needed financial assistance is making its way to our fellow Americans. President Biden is restoring competency to governance, as evidenced by the speed and success of delivering vaccines. While challenges remain, I am so grateful Patrick and his colleagues are committed to delivering much needed help and support to improve the lives of all Americans.
