Great news! The legislation I've introduced supporting veterans and military families is gaining significant support.


HB 429, the " Purple Star Campuses Act ," passed the Secondary Education & Career Development Subcommittee with a unanimous vote and is now in the Local Administration & Veterans Affairs Subcommittee. This outstanding bill provides stability and opportunities to thrive for military families as they transition to life in Florida. Watch my bill presentation.


HB 1097, the " Health Care Licensure Requirements Act ," has cleared all committee stops and is now ready for a vote on the House floor! This bill addresses the severe shortage of VA doctors by empowering VA hospitals to recruit practicing physicians from other states or US territories. Watch my bill presentation.


And HB 3783, the appropriations request I made to support military students and families in the Hillsborough County Public School system, has passed the PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee and is now in the appropriations committee.
