A call to action for the renewable energy sector


As part of the Responsible Energy Initiative, we have launched a new report to set out a case for greater action to ensure renewable energy (RE) is responsible energy. The industry is essential globally for transitioning to a low carbon economy, but at the same time, we are seeing significant risks emerge in its supply chains - from labour rights and livelihood challenges to toxic waste and the unsustainable use of raw materials.

The RE sector is in a unique position; one with huge potential to drive a just transition towards a regenerative future. So how can it fully live up to its potential to drive positive social and environmental outcomes?
