#Breaking: NJ Early Voting signed into law

Just when Georgia went backwards on voting, New Jersey went forward. Governor Murphy signed Early Voting into law today. We will follow up with key things you should know about Early Voting soon, but I believe the top one is highlighted above.

And it’s what we got into the bill. Working with Professor Appel of Princeton, a well-known expert on voting machines, we even got estimates from Dominion (yes, that Dominion) for the range of costs of these voting machines that are the most secure. Before our months of work, the language was simply “using voting machines.” That was much too broad because older push-button voting machines could be hacked and change the voter’s vote. As you can see in the language above, it is precise in its wording and the end result is that you, the voter, can be assured that the candidates you voted for are indeed the votes that will get tabulated.
