From the desk of Congressman Sean Casten

In 2020 we held our Democratic House majority, but we suffered some losses. Now, Republicans are just five seats away from taking back the House, and they’ve made our district one of their first targets.

The outcome of the midterm elections will impact our ability to make progress on just about every issue -- from action on climate change, to rebuilding an economy that works for everyday people, to ensuring that the United States is a place where every person gets a vote and a voice in our democracy.

If you trust climate scientists and believe we should prioritize the long-term health of our planet over the short-term profits of corporations, then I need you to donate.

If you believe that our economy should work for everyone and not just the very few at the top, then I need you to donate.

If you believe that our democracy is stronger when more -- not fewer -- people are able to cast a ballot, then I need you to donate.

Because if Republicans succeed in taking back the House, their agenda will be the opposite of everything I just outlined above. That’s why National Republican groups are already targeting my seat.

2022 might sound like a long time from now, but the stakes are too high for us to risk falling short. With my FEC deadline tomorrow, I need your help to hit our end-of-quarter fundraising goal in time. I know we’ve sent you a few emails over the past few days, but your early investment in this race is crucial.
