Democrat Jimmy Gomez has formally introduced legislation to expel QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress, citing that she "advocated violence against our peers, the Speaker and our government.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene has brought bigotry, racism, xenophobia, and transphobia into Congress from the moment she was elected. She suggested “a bullet to the head” to remove Speaker Pelosi, threatened to bring her gun into the Capitol, berated school shooting victims, and recently hung a transphobic sign outside of Rep. Marie Newman's office, whose daughter is transgender.
It is abundantly clear Greene doesn't belong in Congress -- and the 72 Democrats who've signed on to Gomez's resolution agree. But we know Republicans won't be jumping to get this right-wing extremist out of Washington, so we need to ramp up the pressure. We're counting on our most engaged supporters to help.
