- The Washington Post

Great news: Earlier this month, Michael Regan was sworn in as the new Environmental Protection Agency administrator, making him the first Black man to ever head the agency.

Already, the EPA has taken action to restore scientific integrity at the agency by:

*
Relaunching
its

which
the

down
*
Creating
a
new

that

and

*

It couldn’t be any clearer: Leadership makes all the difference.

That’s why it’s so important that we defend our Democratic Senate Majority so we can continue to work with the Biden Administration to tackle the climate crisis head on. If you can, please chip in before the first FEC deadline of the year to strengthen our grassroots organization for 2022. [[link removed]]

Climate change poses a real and imminent threat to our planet and our way of life, but here’s the good news: Our future isn’t written in stone.

We can change the outcomes for our future by investing in clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and a more resilient energy grid; reducing pollution; and protecting clean air and water. And now, we have the right leadership at the EPA to make climate action a top priority.

Here’s the bad news: Senate Republicans only need ONE SEAT to retake the Majority and put a stop to the environmental progress we’re building in Washington, and as the out-of-power party, history favors their chances.

But what will happen on Election Day isn’t written in stone either.

We can beat the odds, defend our Senate Majority, and elect climate champions if we put in the work to build a strong grassroots organization. Our first major test -- the first FEC deadline since President Biden entered the White House -- is the day after tomorrow, so if you can, please consider chipping in before midnight Wednesday.
