We’ve seen some pretty spectacular results from the Biden-Harris administration in the past few weeks -- and I wanted to just take a moment to celebrate these wins.

Yesterday, 22 million Texans woke up eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. After a year of worry and fear, this is fantastic, emotional news for all of our families. And it didn’t happen by accident. More and more people are getting the chance to get vaccinated because President Biden made vaccine funding a top priority in his American Rescue Plan. Without the aid of a single Republican vote, Democrats pushed this legislation through Congress and all the way to the communities who need it.

Last week, we hit another milestone -- more than 100 million relief checks have now been delivered to Americans, in Texas and beyond. That’s a lifeline to families who have been scraping by and struggling to make rent all year, and folks in all of our communities are feeling the relief.

Now, I know that there’s plenty of bad news mixed in with the good. We’ve got some tough, painful fights on our hands in the Texas Legislature. But I want to make sure we don’t lose sight of the incredible progress we’re making -- together. Our Texas Democratic movement has put heart and soul into electing leaders who truly fight for our communities. And as part of a groundswell of Democratic organizing across our country, we helped restore clear-eyed, compassionate leadership to the White House.

Don’t ever doubt the difference you’re making. Thank you for everything you do in the fight for a better Texas.
