John, in a moment I’m going to ask you to make a contribution toward our last end-of-quarter deadline before the primary. But first, I hope you will give me a moment to explain why this request is so important, especially today.

Tomorrow night, we will close the books on the first quarter of 2021. A few days later, we will file a report with state election officials and our numbers will be made public for everyone to see.

I’m really proud of this report and what it says about our campaign. John, this report shares more than just how much we’ve raised — more importantly, it tells the world how many people are with us and have chipped in because they believe in what we’re building together.

Our numbers are real proof that this campaign, our organizing efforts, ads, and more are built by folks like you chipping in what you can, when you can — not right-wing megadonors or shady special interests. That’s a big deal.

But we are down to the wire here and my team says we’re still a little behind where we need to be if we want to hit our goal tomorrow night. With the primary election just a few months away, this deadline could not be more important, so I’m hoping you will pitch in to help us catch up.
