THIS IS THE MOVEMENT TO PUT

Friend, Did you see Donald Trump's recent Fox News interview, in which he said the insurrectionists posed ZERO threat to the Capitol, hugged and kissed the police, and are now being unfairly persecuted? It made me sick to my stomach. It's such a dangerous, disgusting spin on reality, and what's even worse is that it goes unchallenged by so many in the Republican Party. I, for one, have refused to be silent, and I'll call him exactly what he is -- an utter failure of a human and president. Donald Trump has vowed to cancel anyone who dared to stand up for the truth and impeach him. And I, along with the nine Republicans who voted with me, and the seven Republican Senators who voted to convict, are the prime targets of the Trump Cult's wrath. But I am not afraid. I knew when I cast those votes that it could mean the end of my career -- and if it is, I'll be proud to have made that sacrifice for my country. But I do not want this to be the end, I do not want a tyrant like Donald Trump and the bullies who enable him to win ever again. And that means protecting those who had the courage that is all too rare in these troubling times. Country First is doing just that, and our movement needs your support right now. Tomorrow is the end of the first quarter of fundraising, and the numbers must be so strong that there is zero doubt our team can prevail. I hate sending emails like this, but with a mission and movement like ours, funds are needed to keep the momentum going. We are so close to reaching our audacious fundraising goal. I know you've been supportive of our mission, and now I'm going to make an absolutely outrageous request: Would it be crazy to ask you to chip in whatever you can right now to help us reach our big goal? Every contribution, no matter how big or small, adds up to making a real difference. The funds donated to Country First aren't just going to defend those who put our Country before Party, they will also go toward challenging those in Congress who put Q Anon, Lies, Conspiracies, and the Trump Family before our Country. The money also helps build our community, marshal an army of thousands of volunteers, create space for reasonable people of goodwill to solve our greatest problems, and provide a fresh, optimistic vision for our country.

I do not take for granted the trust you've placed in me to usher our movement through this storm, and I'm humbled by your continued support.
