Duke University Center on Science & Technology Policy:

Tech Policy Talks: Regulating Political Ad Spending

Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Time

RSVP to attend the virtual event on April 1.

Despite federal laws requiring transparency, much political campaign spending is obscured by regulations that exempt advertising agencies, consultancies and other sub-vendors from reporting their spending on behalf of political clients.

The Duke University Center on Science & Technology Policy and Campaign Legal Center will host a virtual panel discussion on the regulations that govern federal reporting of political sub-vendor spending. Offering insight from across sectors, the panel will outline current regulations, consider their implications on public transparency and evaluate potential reforms.

Join us on April 1, 2021.

Featuring:

  • Shana Broussard, Chair, Federal Election Commission
  • Tatenda Musapatike, Founder and CEO, Voter Formation Project
  • Brendan Fischer, CLC Director, Federal Reform
  • Jordan Lieberman, VP & General Manager, Politics & Public Affairs, a4 media
