Thanks to your support, the Rhode Island comeback will be strong in 2021. Earlier this month there was a special election that proposed seven statewide ballot initiatives that would invest $400 million into the state’s recovery and all seven passed.

 

Collectively, these bonds will enhance our state’s educational facilities, rebuild our roads and bridges, expand our supply of affordable housing, upgrade our port and industrial space, provide a lifeline to our arts organizations, and improve the quality of our parks, beaches and waterways. All of these projects will create construction jobs in the near term, while making our state more economically resilient in the decades to come.

 

My team and I worked hard to make sure that these bonds were passed and that our economic recovery is strong. Our office continues to think of innovative ways to use the resources we have at our disposal to create jobs and help kickstart our state’s economy. But we need your support to keep going and find solutions to get Rhode Islanders back to work.
