When the Governor of Colorado recently declared “Meatless Monday” in his state, I took a firm stand in support of the men and women in the livestock industry and declared it #MeatAllWeek in Oklahoma. In Oklahoma, we value and support our agriculture industry who give it their all to put healthy and affordable food on the dinner table.

But, it seems as though my endorsement of #MeatAllWeek has ruffled some feathers... PETA has taken quite an offense, calling me “Governor Meathead” and slandering me for supporting Oklahoma’s way of life.

PETA and the Left want to tell you what you should and should not eat. I believe that it is in no way within the government’s right or power to dictate what food you are choosing to eat.
