. Hi John,
Part of our mission at Wisconsin Conservation Voters is to ensure every eligible Wisconsinite has the freedom to vote and that the results of our elections reflect the will of the people. Gov. Tony Evers included automatic voter registration (AVR) and a number of other pro-voter policies – like expanding the early voting period – in his state budget proposal and we need your help to show the governor we support him.
AVR streamlines the registration process so that people can easily register to vote or update their registration information when they go to the DMV to renew a driver’s license or get a valid ID. With AVR, voter information easily stays accurate, and makes the process more accessible for every voter.
No matter our race, background, or zip code, most of us want Wisconsin to be a place where everyone has the freedom to vote, where we can make our voices heard, and we can easily and fairly participate in elections.
That’s why we’re coming together, from the shores of Lake Superior to Milwaukee’s northside, to thank Governor Evers for including important measures in his budget like extending early voting hours, implementing automatic voter registration, and making voting accessible to all in Wisconsin.
It’s voices like yours that make an impact on our elected officials. Your voice matters, so speak up for pro-voter funding in the state budget. Sincerely, Anjali Bhasin Civic Engagement Director Wisconsin Conservation Voters P.S. To get involved in the budget discussion, join Gov. Evers’ Badger Bounceback session on Transportation & Infrastructure tonight at 6 p.m. here >>> |
