friend, We have some big news: A new piece by Jane Mayer in the New Yorker details the contents of a leaked tape putting Koch operatives on record as pulling out all the stops to oppose the For The People Act, the most ambitious election reform legislation in half a century. Here’s the good news: Even utilizing their classic strategies of disinformation, Koch shills can’t trick people to oppose getting dark money out of our elections. It turns out that everyone agrees that billionaires rigging elections and destabilizing our democracy is bad news. None of their focus-tested misinformation campaigns are sticking and we’ve got them running scared. It is time to double down on our efforts to take on the Koch network at their flagship campus: George Mason University (GMU).
